Race Photo-bombing

My race photos generally all look the same.  Either I look like I’m constipated or I’m about to pass out, neither of which accurately depict how I actually feel at the time.  Never-the-less, I never know what to do with these pictures.  In my lifetime of races, there has been one semi-decent looking race picture of me, which I ordered, framed and proudly displayed on my mantle.  That was ten years ago.

Since my photos are always “bombs,” (as in, scary-looking) perhaps I should start photo-bombing other people’s race photos during races, specifically those runners who always take great pictures.  You know who I’m talking about – the ones who stop and pose or smile in midst of a 6:30 mile.

On the bright side, since my photos always portray me displaying the same grimmace, I never have to ponder buying them.  But what if they’re free?!  I know, it NEVER happens.  Except at small races where they don’t charge you and arm and a leg for an entry fee.

Of all the pictures I downloaded (legally!), I will share just one with you because honestly, they all look similar.

Yes, the guy behind me eventually passed me.  And the course was out and back, hence the amount of butts in the picture.  I also didn’t realize until now how much I color coordinated.  I will have to change that for my next race.

In other news, I have created a separate food blog for all of you who love drooling at the excessive amount of baked goods I make.  I figured I needed another venue for food-related posts, so feel free to check it out: A. Baker Bakes.  There is also a link to it in the menu bar section.  Oh and I made some more Nutella cookies last night, so you should definitely check it out.
